We are fundraising to help out friends Trina and Neil. Neil was diagnosed with a brain tumour a few years ago and after lengthy consideration, had surgery early last year. Neil recovered well from his surgery, he had some deficits but worked hard to get home to his beautiful wife, and son Dylan.
Following a stint in Rehab he was able to go home with assistance from Trina, Dylan and a fleet of carers. Just before Christmas Neil suffered an increase in seizure activity and, following a particularly bad seizure, Neil was given another brain scan that showed that there were three new tumours that had grown. Neil is booked in to see his surgeon soon and he will have to undergo more surgery and recovery time. Neil’s surgeon has offered to bulk bill the surgery but there will still be costs for anaesthetics, medication, hospital bills and other costs relating to admission and recovery.
During this whole time Trina has fought to keep her chin up at work and always has a smile and excellent care for her patients.
