Friends of Ruby is a nonprofit center supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in Toronto, Canada. They help by providing free counselling, housing, and social services to youth (aged 16-29).

According to the Trevor Project, "More than 1 in 10 (12%) LGBTQ+ young people attempted suicide in the past year."

"LGBTQ+ young people are not inherently prone to higher suicide risk because of their sexual orientation or gender identity. Rather, they are placed at higher risk because of how they are mistreated and stigmatized in society."

These programs and foundations that help strengthen and give support to our 2SLGBTQIA+ are so unbelievably important.
