If you know Stacy Kotch-Jester, you love her—it is as simple as that. She is one of those souls who possesses a zest for life, a contagious joie de vivre that lights up every room and makes everyone around her feel a little bit happier. I have been lucky to have Stacy as a friend for the last 13 years. We first met as neighbors in Barrington, NJ- her hometown- and I now consider her family. We leaned on one another during the early part of motherhood, raising our baby boys together. And even moving has not kept us apart. Today, Stacy is an elementary educator in Lewes, Delaware.

Stacy isn’t just a teacher; she’s a memory-maker. Whether she’s dressed as King George, donning the Cat in the Hat’s stripes, or transforming her room into the halls of Hogwarts, she creates a world where her students don’t just learn—they thrive.

Recently, she received the devastating news of a breast cancer diagnosis. It is a path this family knows too well, as her wife, Steff, courageously fought her own battle with breast cancer in 2017. Watching Stacy face this with her trademark humor and grit is a testament to her spirit, but no one should have to be this strong alone.

The journey ahead will be tough, both emotionally and financially, as medical bills quickly add up during treatment.
