I’m John Cruz-Barcenas, and this June I am joining Feeding America’s movement challenge to help put food on the tables of children and families in our communities. I’m setting a distance goal and inviting friends, family, and neighbors to join me in spirit. Every mile I cover will be dedicated to families who struggle to find their next meal, and every donation will help partner food banks deliver nutritious food where it is needed most.

Growing up, I saw how a warm meal could change a day. When times were tight, neighbors and local programs made sure my family had enough to eat. That support shaped who I am and inspired me to give back. Feeding America works to create equitable access to nutritious food, and by supporting this campaign we help ensure children can learn, grow, and thrive without the constant worry of hunger.

I will be tracking my miles, sharing updates, and celebrating every step forward.
