These numbers represent real trauma, survivors being denied justice, and a culture where far too many offenders escape real consequences.
Our society is facing an epidemic of r-pe culture. In nearly every aspect, the burden continues to fall on survivors. We know it should not be women’s responsibility to defend themselves against violence that occurs with such frequency, yet this is the reality we live in.
Many of us refuse to simply wait for criminals to stop committing crimes. A product that makes effective self-defense more accessible to women is long overdue.
This is why we’ve developed VenusGuard, a women’s self defense sleeve.
What is VenusGuard?
It is a discreet, internal silicone device that is inserted similarly to a tampon or menstrual cup. Designed by medical professionals, VenusGuard was created to help defend against penetrative sexual assault.
If penetration occurs, the device interrupts the attack, incapacitates the attacker and collects forensic DNA evidence to aid in their prosecution.
No special skills, strength, or training are required to effectively use VenusGuard. With VenusGuard, women can gain greater peace of mind and confidence.
The more widely known and accessible this device becomes, the more potential offenders will think twice. Our goal is simple: create a world where attackers hesitate, knowing the risks now include severe pain, certain identification, and a much higher chance of conviction.
We are a fiercely dedicated team committed to transparency and putting survivors first. Every decision is made from a trauma-informed perspective. As the first product of its kind, VenusGuard naturally raises questions, and we welcome them. Our priority has always been — and will always be — women’s comfort, safety, and dignity.
We’ve already conducted efficacy tests, and our prototype has been approved and endorsed by over 500 women worldwide. The demand is real.
However, bringing VenusGuard to market requires significant resources. That’s where we need your help.
