Prevent Child Abuse America

Each month, the Kentucky Colonels of Northwest Alabama organizes a fundraiser to support organizations that are making a real difference in people’s lives. For the month of April, we are proud to support Prevent Child Abuse America.

Prevent Child Abuse America works to promote the healthy development of children and strengthen families so that every child can grow up in a safe, stable, and nurturing environment. Their work focuses on prevention, education, and community programs that help families before abuse or neglect ever occurs.

Child abuse prevention is something that requires the involvement of entire communities. By supporting organizations like Prevent Child Abuse America, we can help provide resources, education, and support systems that protect children and strengthen families.

Our goal with this fundraiser is to raise funds that will support the mission of Prevent Child Abuse America and help bring awareness to the importance of protecting children and supporting families.

My name is Justin, and I’m the owner of IDAMAN Barber Co. in Meridian.

I’m organizing a 24-hour nonstop free haircut event on April 10–11 (8AM–8AM) in recognition of Child Abuse Prevention Month. The goal is to raise awareness and allow the community to donate directly to child abuse prevention efforts.

Local sponsors are covering the execution of the event so it can be run transparently, while all public donations go directly to prevention. The event is walk-in and will run continuously for 24 hours from a single chair.

Sig Delt Sweetheart is a fun and competitive event where participants compete in different pageant-style events for the chance to be crowned the 2026 Sig Delt Sweetheart. All proceeds from the event will benefit Prevent Child Abuse America, SDT’s national philanthropy.
